EuroDrift will be undergoing Construction for Modifications & New Template

The EuroDrift Administration has decided to begin re-construction of the homepage.  The homepage will receive a new template as well as new mods and widgets.  The site will still operate during construction, but is subject to random service interruptions.  The blog will not receive new posts until the homepage is completed.  EuroDrift is also considering changing the blog to include the following sections: News, Automotive News, & Videos.  The News section will include news about EuroDrift, the Automotive News will include articles on upcoming vehicles, and the Videos section will include videos related to european automobiles.  Currently, EuroDrift is considering allowing open commenting to all members but due to the amount of spam that is received each day, the commenting will not open until more users show their support for open commenting.  To support commenting or share other ideas for the site, please send an email to admin@eurodrift.com.

Have a Happy New Year!

Forum – Spam Removed, Administrator Admission Program Re-activated

Welcome to EuroDrift!
News from Administration:

EuroDrift.com’s construction has slowed during the past few weeks due to the holidays.  The website still needs work and expansion, so the EuroDrift Administration plans to continue working through the holiday season.  Blog posts of pictures, videos, or news will occur less over the next week but we plan to do our best to keep posting videos and plan to add more information to each daily post about the vehicles shown or information related.

News About Forum:

If you haven’t already noticed, over the past few weeks since e-mail activation was allowed, over 50 spam users have joined the forum.  The administration has removed all users that either posted or haven’t posted yet unless the user is known by the administration.  The forum If you have been deleted and would like to participate in the forum in a non-spam related way, please contact us at admin@eurodrift.com.

Due to the increase in volume of spam on the forum, EuroDrift plans to expand security to both the blog commentating and forum.  The blog already deletes all comments since most are spam.  If users would like to comment on the blog please vote on the poll available on the right side and the EuroDrift team will add more blog comment security and open it to users.  We will also require all users to register for the blog and be approved by administrators to prevent spam.

Have a Happy Holidays

The EuroDrift Administration

Forum Registration now open through E-mail Verification

The forum registration is now activated by e-mail verification.  The new acceptance program allows users to verify their account through e-mail than once accepted, the administration will view all users each day.  If any user uses spam or has a name that is typical of spammers, the account will be deleted.  If you have any suggestions for the site, please contact us at: admin@eurodrift.com

The homepage design is complete & the forum is ready for use

Welcome to EuroDrift!

There are several announcements to make about the progress of EuroDrift.com.

The first announcement is that the homepage is complete. The homepage will include a blog about upcoming cars & other information. The blog will have posts at least once a week while construction continues on the rest of the site and expansion of the EuroDrift community extends. The homepage also includes a picture slideshow of european cars, both new and old. The slideshow will expand to a large amount of pictures. Starting now, new pictures will be posted as the first picture in the slideshow and older pictures will be left further back in the queue. As there are pictures on the homepage, there will also be a featured video on the homepage. The featured video will change every week.

Secondly, the forum has been completed. The forum has a variety of categories. The categories include: Welcome to the EuroDrift Forums, Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, British, French, German, Italian, Swedish, Non-European, Off-topic, and Feedback & Help. Each category consists of forums dedicated to models, companies, or other topics. The forum welcomes anybody who has an interest in cars and enjoys to be involved in a european car community. The forum allows the community to discuss anything from cars to upcoming movies or video games. The forum is open for registration, and anybody interested in joining the forum should click the register button on the forum home-page

The EuroDrift Administration Admissions Program was created due to EuroDrift’s first experience with spammers when the forum originally opened in 2010. After a few months, spam became a normal aspect of the site with hundreds of users joining each week to post spam. The forum was shutdown due to the security issue. EuroDrift was going to be terminated in September 2011, but the President & Vice President of EuroDrift agreed to rebuild the website using higher security standards. This includes general security for the whole website, spam protection for the homepage & forum, and the EAAP.

If you are interested in joining the forum, please register at http://forum.eurodrift.com.

EuroDrift is also looking for new members to become part of the EuroDrift company. There are positions available from blogging on the home-page to being a moderator in the forum. These positions are unpaid and only include moderator access. To apply to become part of the EuroDrift company, please submit the following information: Name, Birth Year, Location (City, State), Username, Email, Occupation, Schools Attending or Attended, and Experience. Please submit a resume or document (at least 1 page double-spaced) about yourself and why you think you should be part of the EuroDrift company.

At this time, EuroDrift is considering opening an online store to sell t-shirts and other products in partnership with other companies. The store will accept PayPal payments from secure users and post tracking information to PayPal. This is currently under administration review and would like to hear support from users or visitors of EuroDrift to continue with the creation of a EuroDrift internet store.

Thank you for visiting EuroDrift. We hope you enjoy the holidays.
