Pagani Zonda Tricolore: Tribute to Frecce Tricolori Aerobatic Team

Pagani Zonda Tricolore: Tribute to Frecce Tricolori Aerobatic Team

A Dedication to Italy’s Aerobatic Team

For the 2010 model year, Pagani introduced the Zonda Tricolore, a tribute in design. The Pagani Zonda Tricolore is an honor to Frecce Tricolori, Italy’s aerobatic team. With only three units total, this car is quite a collectible vehicle. The Frecce Tricolori aero team is a team of pilots that can pull amazing stunts across the blue sky. Refer to the video below for a view of their most popular video on YouTube. In concept, the Tricolore takes much away from the Zonda Cinque. But, there is quite a few things that reflect the Tricolori.

Differences from the Zonda Cinque

The Pagani Zonda Tricolore does differ from the Zonda Cinque. Although much of the body is similar, there are a handful of things that make it stand out. First, there is a clear blue lacquer paintjob in combo with red, white, and green stripes. Second, there is a small wing behind the cockpit, relating to the tail wing of the Frecce Tricolori Aermacchi MB-339 PAN stunt plane. On a hidden note, the car is 6 mph faster than a standard Zonda. This means it can reach 220 mph! Even though it is not a huge difference, why not hit the next decade of speed.

Another Amazing Zonda Model

Overall, the Pagani Zonda Tricolore is an amazing, new model for the Zonda lineup. For $1.35 million USD ($1.2 million Euros), this car could’ve been yours! Unfortunately, it is long gone, and with only three builds, this car is quite rare. Seeing one of these on the road is like hitting Mega Millions or the Powerball. The Pagani Zonda Tricolore tribute to the Frecce Tricolori is quite a statement by the supercar company. Frecce Tricolori can do amazing things in airplanes, so it is not surprising to dedicate such a fine vehicle to their spectacle. In conclusion, the Zonda Tricolore is another beauty by the Pagani Automobili.

Pagani Zonda 760 LM Roadster: Getting Rained “In” at the Track

Pagani Zonda 760 LM Roadster

The Pagani Zonda 760 LM Roadster, a car worth over 3.5 million euros, was spotted on the track. Unfortunately, it started to rain while the car was on the track with the top open. Obviously, this led to rain getting into the interior. Basically, the Zonda 760 LM Roadster was being rained “in”. For a car of this value, that is not the best way to treat it… but, nature is out of the driver’s control.

7.3-Liter AMG V12 Engine with 760 Horsepower

The Pagani Zonda 760 LM Roadster sports a 7.3-liter AMG V12 engine producing 760 horsepower. The engine is coupled with a sequential manual transmission. As expected, the V12 has a purr of its own. The 750 LM Roadster can hit 60 mph in only 2.7 seconds with a top speed of 217 mph. This car was inspired by Le Mans prototype race cars. Compared to other Zondas, this car has new headlights, extended wheel arches, and a vented hood.

Minivan & Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder

On the track with the Zonda filming it were a used minivan and a Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder. The Gallardo Spyder is obviously very unique in its own way while the minivan… well that’s that. In the video, the Zonda can be seen on the track when it starts raining with the top open. This is definitely not a circumstance to be stuck in within such an expensive vehicle. Luckily, the driver was able to deal with the situation easily.

Hopefully, the Interior Wasn’t Damaged…

Overall, being stuck on the track with an open top Pagani Zonda 760 LM Roadster in the rain isn’t anyone’s goal. Well… maybe a few. On the other hand, the beauty and power of the Zonda 760 LM Roadster display the elegance of a true race car. A Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder and a Pagani Zonda 760 LM Roadster at the track sounds pretty exciting in itself. In the end, let’s hope the interior of the Zonda wasn’t damaged by the unforeseen circumstances.
