BMW 8 Series Debuts on June 15th
On June 15th, 2018, the day before the start of Le Mans, BMW will introduce the all-new 8 series. The BMW 8 Series is a dynamic-driving luxury sports car. Not surprisingly, the 8 Series will be available in multiple variants. BMW expects to release six different models of this car. These model variations include a Convertible, Coupe, Gran Coupe, and M8 Gran Coupe. Overall, the BMW 8 Series is basically the answer to demand for a 7 Series Coupe.
4.4-Liter TwinPower Turbo V8
The BMW M850i xDrive Coupe will sport a 4.4-liter TwinPower Turbo V8. This motor is capable of 530 horsepower and 553 lb.-ft. of torque. Furthermore, the engine will work in combo with a ZF 8-speed auto transmission. Obviously, other BMW 8 Series models may have differing engine options. The BMW M8 Gran Coupe may reach over 600 horsepower, but there’s no guarantee. Currently, engineers are testing the entirety of the 8 Series on the curvy, windy roads of Wales.

In conclusion, the BMW 8 Series is a game changer in the realm of coupes. In recent times, large coupes are in demand, as seen from the Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe. These vehicles provide a taste of sportiness while still offering high-end luxury. It probably won’t be a surprise for Audi to consider creating a coupe based on a larger model such as the A6 or A8. Either way, it will be tough for anyone to compete with the beautiful 8 Series Coupe. Currently, there isn’t too much information available on this car. But, anyone may sign up on the BMW website to receive more info once it’s available.
