In The Transporter movie series, the film portrays the use of Audis, BMWs, and Mercedes-Benzs. Frank Martin, the protagonist, is represented by Jason Statham for the first three films. Ed Skrein acted as Frank Martin in the reboot movie while Chris Vance handles the television series. The ratio of Audi to BMW to Mercedes-Benz in this series is 4:1:1. So, from this, you can see that Audi is the prominent car of Frank Martin.
The Transporter: 1999 BMW 735i E38 & Mercedes-Benz W140 S600
The Transporter 2: 2006 Audi A8 6.0 W12
In the Transporter 2, Frank Martin drives a 2006 Audi A8 6.0 W12. The 2006 Audi A8 W12 has a 6.0-liter W12 engine producing 450 horsepower to hit 60 mph in 5.0 seconds. Compared to the previous movie, this is an addition of 61 horsepower to the transporter’s available power. This car introduced the beginning of the movie’s implementation of Audi for the rest of the series. Although, there is a scene in which Frank drives a Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster. The Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster also has a V12 engine producing a whopping 572 horsepower to hit 62 mph in 3.8 seconds.
The Transporter 3: 2008 Audi A8 6.0 W12
For the Transporter 3, the 2008 Audi A8 6.0 W12 was brought to the scene. Basically, Frank decided to upgrade his previous A8 to the new, face-lifted edition. The 2008 Audi A8 W12 is another luxury vehicle with a 6.0-liter W12 producing 450 horsepower. So technically, it contains the same engine as its predecessor. The major difference is on the overall styling of the car and a few technological enhancements.
The Transporter: The Series – Audi A8 4.2 V8
Unfortunately, Frank downgraded his car for the television show, The Transporter: The Series. In the television show, Frank drives a Audi A8 4.2 V8. After driving the W12, I’d suspect Frank isn’t too happy with his new companion’s capabilities. The fact is, his Audi A8 has a 4.2-liter V8 motor that produces 372 horsepower and 328 lb.-ft. of torque. It may be a slight downgrade from 450 horsepower, but it is sufficient to do the job… for the most part.
The Transporter Refueled: Audi S8 4.0 V8
Fortunately, in the movie reboot, The Transporter Refueled, Frank upgrades his car to a Audi S8 4.0 V8. Although it is no V12 or W12, the Audi S8 4.0 V8 produces 605 horsepower to hit 60 mph in 3.3 seconds. Wow! Talk about a major upgrade compared to every other car, yet a downgraded motor. The advancement of car technology over a 10-15 year period is astonishing. Not only were they able to make engines more efficient, they downed the size and upped the horsepower. I don’t know about you, but I’d take this 605 horsepower beast over any of the W12 models previously mentioned.
Frank Martin Showed Passion Towards His Audis
Overall, Frank began his journey with BMW and Mercedes-Benz then jumped into the world of Audi. The transporter prefers his Audi A8s but ended up with a S8 in The Transporter Refueled. Over time, his vehicle quality improved until the television show downgraded it. Fortunately for Frank, he received his most powerful car in the most recent movie. In the end, Frank has continued to show his love for fine European luxury automobiles. Who knows what model will be next?
